HP Prime
macOS 10.12 Sierra

My HP Prime's current firmware version is 2014 3 31 (6030)

I have tried to connect the calculator to both a Windows 10 (64-bit) and a macOS Sierra with the Connectivity Kit and Virtual Calculator installed.

Once the calculator is plugged in, it immediately shows "hp prime recovery mode v16" on the screen and connectivity kit cannot detect the calculator. However, the computer does recognize the calculator. On Windows, a device named "Prime Update" shows up and "HP CALC DEV" shows up on the desktop on the Mac.

What should I do?

P.S. I have already downloaded the latest firmware in the connectivity kit. I just need the calculator to be detected by connectivity kit so it can update.

With a calculator version this old, you will have to use the windows connkit to do the update.

Once the calculator is in that "Recovery mode", close the connectivity kit, unplug the calculator, and then restart the connectivity kit. It may take a while for it to really recognize in windows. There is currently an issue in windows 10 that causes it to take up to 10 minutes to recognize that the calcualtor is connected on USB. After a while, the windows "usb connection noise" will happen. Once that happens, the update window should pop up and prompt you to update.
