Solved!

HP Prime - new trigoniometric bug

HP Recommended
HP Prime
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

In version 13441 I get some wrong trigoniometric results.

In CAS settings I set Simplify: Maximum.

Angle: Radians.

Next expressions should all be equal to 1, because

TAN(x)*TAN(pi/2-x)=1.

In version 11586 the results are correct.

Hello,

I beleive someone already posted this a while back. I passed it to the CAS author and it is working fine in the latest build. When/if another version comes out it should be returning 1 as expected.

Ok... well yes this was posted a while ago - by you! I have no idea what is going on with the forum software as this was showing at the top and is the most recent post I see.

Anyway, you have your answer. It is fixed now! 🙂

Hi Tim,

Thank you for passing it to the CAS author.

I think the software has been improved when my post was at the top of the list 🙂

Thumbs up for the new forum software!
