HP Prime update results in Recovery Mode V16

HP Recommended
HP Prime

Hi!

Today I tried updating my HP Prime. I tried updating for a few times but after the update process started the Prime always went to Recovery Mode 16. I connected the Prime to different USB ports (USB 2 and 3) and even tried different HP Connectivity Kits (HPCKs). Reinstalling all the drivers didn't work either. In one firmware version of the HPCK it did not even find any update for my Prime (see specifications below). When using the latest HPCK I don't even have to start the update process for the Prime to go to Recovery Mode V16. It directly starts when opening the latest HPCK.

HP Prime:

Current firmware version: 20140331 Rev. 6030

Firmware version to update to: 20170710

HP Connectivity Kit (HPCK):

Firmware version of the version where Prime directly goes to Recovery Mode V16: 2016 12 8 Rev. 1126

Firmware version of the version showing an update: 2015 6 17 Rev. 8151

Firmware version of the version not showing an update: 2014 3 31 Rev. 6026

Windows

Edition: Windows 10 Home

Type: 64 Bit

Language: German

Is there any solution for my problem?

Thank you in advance

NW

Nowa,

I had exactly the same problem. The solution is: Start the updating process - and do nothing. Apparently W10 needs some ten minutes to  collect itself. After ten or more minutes, you may hear two beeps and the calculator shows its normal face again.  The wonder happend: firmware is updated.
