I want to put a matrix with variables but it doesn't allow me to do it.

It says that I have a syntax error.

The syntax error is caused by the 3e.  In Prime, digits followed by "e" must be followed by more digits, forming a number in scientific notation.  If you want 3*e^(3*q) then you must include the multiplication symbol ( * ) between the 3 and the e.  In general, to avoid ambiguous inputs, never use implied multiplication on the HP Prime.

The problem is that implicit multiplication is not supported here (because e can be part of a number): if you write -3*e^(-3*q) instead of -3e^(-3*q), it'll work.
