The problem is that your function is not defined in X=1.

It is always a good idea to study the behaviour of your function, eg in the Function app, before starting integrating.

Moreover, symbolic calculations can be best done in CAS view, so press the CAS key.

Because we are dealing with a define integral  this one could also be done in Home view, like you are doing, but as I said, the problem is that the function is not defined in X=1.

Let's replace 1 by 0.99999999999 and we get an answer: 1.57079185411, which is pretty good, because the exact answer is pi/2.

Now lets go to CAS view.

CAS is also not able to provide an answer but when we replace 1 by 1.0, we get 1.57079624174

This is already very accurate, and is calculated by a numerical approximation.

But CAS should be able to give us an exact answer.

For that purpose it needs some help. We will do it in steps.
