Time/Date Functions HP Prime

HP Recommended

Hello,

Contrary to the opinion represented here, do I assume that the HP Prime has no function / command to output the current date and / or time?

On the contrary, Primes DOES have a real-time clock and programmable commands for setting and/or outputting the time and date, as well as several powerful date calculation functions.

  • Date --> outputs the current system date.
  • Date:=YYYY.MMDD --> sets the system date.
  • Time --> outputs the current system time.
  • Time:=HH°MM'SS" --> sets the system time.
  • Alternative: The Connectivity Kit sets your Prime to the same time & date as your computer.
  • DATEADD(Date,NbDays) --> adds NbDays to Date, returning result in YYYY.MMDD format.
  • DDAYS(Date1,Date2) --> returns the number of days between two dates.
  • DAYOFWEEK(Date) --> returns the day of week for any date, where 1=Monday and 7=Sunday.
  • HMS→(HH°MM'SS") --> converts a time or angle to decimal format.
  • →HMS(x) --> converts a time or angle from decimal to HH°MM'SS" format.

Hope that helps! Disclaimer: I don't work for HP. I'm just another happy HP calculator user.
