Is there any way to increase the available memory for arrays and programs for the newest HP prime.?  Is there any way to load part of the operating system and leave more space for arrays.

Hello,

Basically no...

If you have one of the latest (G2), you could, if you were really good and had the tools, unsolder the 256MB ram and solder a larger, compatible one (I think that it can go up to 1G from memory)....

BUT, this would violate the warranty and be a hard task to achieve...

Furthermore, the extra RAM would not be that useful. Prime is fast, but not fast enough to work with gigantic (>32MB) matrices in any reasonable time... so that would give you more memory, yes, BUT the time to use said memory would not be practical...

Prime G1 has much less RAM, so if you have a prime G1 and need more ram, I would suggest getting a prime G2, or use the PC emulator which will have most of the PC RAM available to it, plus the speed of the PC... Unless you need the super portability, this might be a solution to your problem.

Good luck,

Cyrille
