hp50 g

i just purchased a hp50g calculator and my tafe arranged to get suitable programming for my surveying course

anyway after first lesson i must of pressed some buttom which doesnt allow the calculator to go back to orignal settings .i tryied to find out the the instruction book how to re set the original way it was set up but cant work out how(neither can my teacher)

For example to find the misclose of traverse which need to enter all bearind and distances and the way to do it is

press 

VAR button

RUN 

close

job.n (  at this point the screen has  the "NOVAL" and also "RUN' ) which should be there

 

what can i do to erase the NAVAL text&RUN text .and also get it back to original way it was set/programmed
