We have been using HP Image Assistant for a while now, without issue from a network share.
On upgrading to 4.1.2, we get an error when opening the application - this is only when running it from the network share... running locally or from a USB stick is ok.

This issues has been reported and will be corrected in the 4.2 release of HPIA. The 4.2 release is in final testing and should be available very soon (mid/late October). Continue to monitor the HPIA web site (https://ftp.hp.com/pub/caps-softpaq/cmit/HPIA.html) for the release of the update.
