Product: ENVY 23 touchscreen
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Machine came with Win 8.1 installed. Upgraded on-line to Win10.0 and 10.1 later, I have used free MS upgrades every time they were issued.  Machine now needs repair/install USB drive run. I need the  product code that came with the original. Any help?  Or must I bite the bullet and buy full commercial product of 10.+ ?

Hi:

 

Since your PC had previously been upgraded to W10 and activated, you can reinstall W10 for free by using the W10 media creation tool at the link below.

 

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10

 

You can clean install W10 by using the media creation tool and make a bootable USB flash drive installation device or a DVD.

 

When you get to the part of the installation script where you are asked to enter a product key, you select the 'I don't have a product key' option, and W10 will install and automatically reactivate once you are connected to the internet.
