HP EliteBook 850 G6
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We recently bought this laptop HP EliteBook 850 G6. We need this laptop to support for solidworks . But Solidworks is slow/hanging during working, I am not facing this issue with my earlier laptop HP EliteBook 850 G1. Could you please let me know what can to be improved to resolve this issue.

Hello

different operating system ? Win 7 vs Win 10 ?

different video card AMD or Intel ?

different quantity of RAM ?

I was thinking solidworks was requiring a AMD Pro or Nvidia Quadro video card , so a Zbook instead of an ELitebook but if you used 850 G1 for so many years it means it was enought for you.

I never used solidworks in my life.

Different version of Solidworks

Graphics Drivers

I ca ntry to use HP Performance Advisor , it's for workstation but it works also with other HP computer.

I don't know how to use it , but you can start it, start recording , then you used solidworks for some minutes , then go back to HP Perfomance Advisor , stop recording.

At this point you can analyze the recorded data and may be find where could be the bottlenack.

if your 850 G1 is sitll working you can do some comparison

bye
