I don't know where do uou get the CD (CD ? No, no CD for Windows 10, a CD is not big enough). Please try the following option given you upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 already

   https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10

(a)Create Windows 10 installation media,

(b) Use installation media (DVD, not CD) or USB to install,

Windows 10 will activate itself using a key embedded in BIOS of your machine.

Regards.

Did you upgrade/downgrade your machine ? Why you need activation key in the first place because Windows 10 will activate automatically.

But  if you wish, the key is in the BIOS of your machine, please use the following tool to get it:

   http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html

When run this tool, it produces a report, scroll down to Software Management section. Windows 8, 8.1 or 10  product key is in there.

You can also use the following tool to find out:

My laptop wont turn on, the reason I need the key is because I downloaded windows 10 fresh from the CD on a pc that previously had Windows 7 and its asking for an activation key.
