Hi,
Welcome to HP Support Forum. Your machine DOES have a sound chip/card
- Built-in High Definition 5.1 channel audio
- Audio codec: Realtek ALC 656
May be Dragon software requires a better one therefore you need to add a sound card on your computer. Do you know what is its requirement ? Or what is the version of the software. The following article helps you to buy a sound card for the product

Regards.
