A suggestion re HP product registration and support

HP Recommended

So..I have registered various HP products over the past months and years. Why is there not, on HP's support website, a place and a way for me to retrieve all that info so that I can easily branch to drivers, accessories etc? Couldn't I be registered under my email address or customer number in the same way that various Internet sales sites (mWave, NewEgg, TigerDirect etc) register me and allow me to retrieve order history etc? Is this too much to ask? It would save me heaps of time here and there, and likely result in me using HP's website more often as a source of info and products.

p.s. You can see that this is not a suggestion about the Forums themselves. But there does not appear to be a forum regarding business practices and opportunities. Perhaps this suggestion could find its way into HP proper if someone is interested in hearing it.
