Audio issue

 I posted a message (Headset microphone does not work when docked.) about a problem with my headset on Dec 6, bu t have not gotten any response.

 

Am I being impatient to expect a reply in 6 days?

 

Should I do something else?

This is a peer to peer forum, not HP technical support.

 

Unfortunately, many questions can go unanswered on this forum if no one has any ideas to offer.

 

If your notebook is still under warranty, and you want technical support from HP, please contact HP for the country you live in at the link below.

Yes, there are HP employees that contribute to this forum--even some support agents, and the HP staff are identified as such.

 

Under the forum rules of participation, there is this statement...Unless specifically identified by HP management, HP employees and affiliates who participate in the forum do so on a volunteer only basis. Such volunteer participants are not compensated for their work nor is their participation considered in the context of HP performance management.

If no HP-employed individual--even those labeled as support agents, haven't responded to your question from 6 days ago, it would be reasonable to assume that no one has an answer for you at this time.

 

I suppose you can always respond to some random post, and ask a HP agent to take a look at your original question, or contact one of the folks identified as a support agent by the private messaging system.

I just got off the phone with HP.

They are going to send me a new docking station.
