Bad customer service

NP Laserjet Pro M118dw

Just bought an HP M118dw laser printer from Currys. On opening the box I found that the cartridge was missing. I contacted HP to ask them to send one out but they refused, saying the whole thing would have to be returned and exchanged. I told them that was ridiculous but they wouldn't budge. They also said it could take up to 14 days to get a replacement. Anyone know a way around this madness or if I can speak to anyone else to get it sorted? I urgently need this printer to be working!!
