I can only login using my username.  Using my email address does not work.  This might be caused by me having changed the email address on my account.

Hi:

 

I can only log in to the forum with my user name also.

 

I believe that is normal.

 

I have never been able to logon with my e-mail address.

Your username is an element of your HP profile and it's your user identifier. It is used to sign in to the forum and any other HP applications, and it's not displayed anywhere on the forum.

 

Your primary email address is the email address all HP applications will use to communicate with you and send instructions to recover your credentials -if needed-. You can also change this on your profile, just keep in mind that changing your email address doesn't automatically change your username, and viceversa.

When I am on the login screen, it indicates that I can enter a username or an email address.  From reading that link that you sent, I think this is a mistake and it should not give you the option of entering an email address.

I agree with you.

 

I believe that the notice to log in to the forum using your e-mail address is a mistake.

Ok, great.  I think HP monitors this forum so that they can fix that when they have the chance.

 

i am not sure if I was supposed to select that as solution, though.  Doesn't seem like i can undo it.
