My HP Printer will not perform anything, no matter what I do per help on line, it still is stuck with carriage jam.  Would it have anything to do with ink in the cartridges?  The carriage moves freely so I don't know what else to do.  Please Help!!  Thank you

Welcome to the HP Forums!

 

I noticed that you have a carriage jam with your HP Photosmart 2610xi printer. I am happy to help! 

 

Are you using Genuine HP ink cartridges, or refills? 

 

In the meantime, please try the steps within this guide, A 'Clear Carriage Jam and Press OK to Continue' Message Displays, and let me know what happens!
