I called HP, had a question regarding an error message when opening some e-mail attachments.  Oh, you don't have a contact, in order for us to help you a service contract is $99 for a year - at the time I thought it was a good idea, definitely was not.   After I provided information, credit card info to be charged $99, the tech had me turn off my computer, hit F10, F10, F10 - little did I know, it WIPED OUT EVERYTHING on my computer - when I told the tech that, he said "YES" !!!   I ended up taking my computer to Best Buy where fortunately they had just backed up my info on a disc and had a restore disc.   They were great, did everything again at no charge as it was only 4 days since I picked up my computer and I had a 90-day guarantee.    I WANT MY $99 BACK!!!!    There is such as run-around just trying to contact anyone.   You call the number and you have limited choices, you check their website and nothing fits who to contact!!!!    I did speak to a tech on the phone as that is where I was put through to due to their limited categories of where to send a call - he tried to talk me into keeping the contract and its benefits - I learned what the benefit was with everything wiped out of my computer.   He said he would speak with  his supervisor and someone will call me.   I guess I can kiss that money good-bye!!!!
