The number on my caller ID is [edit]  Does HP normally make these calls?  I am assuming that it is a scam call.

Hi:

 

HP will never call you out of the blue for anything.

 

The latest scam calls going around are claiming HP owes you money.

Thank you.  I figured as much.  So when he said "fine, if you do not want the refund you can just hang up now."  So I did.

 I think most people have been aware of such scam calls. I have just read some reports filed at http://www.whycall.me/866-724-8600.html about similar scams filed even since last year. I personally think ignoring those calls is the best option that we could do, or just hanging up if we have answered those calls.
