HP MPP-2.0 Tilt Pen not working

HP MPP-2.0 Tilt Pen (L85659-001)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently bought the HP Envy x360 13-ay0028nn that came with a stylus HP MPP-2.0 tilt pen (product number of pen - L85659-001). The pen it came with, however, does not work. I've read all kinds of information I could find about it and apparently there should be light indication on the top of the pen, which seems to be missing on mine at all. The drivers of the laptop and the Windows are updated. I think the pen itself is defective and non-functioning. I'm looking forward to your relevant comment. Thank you in advance.
