Can we change the name to HP App? Because that would be a more accurate description. Cannot express enough how frustrated I am with this app! It makes you run around in circles constantly! I tried to enroll in Instant Ink from my app but it took me to a web browser to download the app. Could not find a way around this. What an absolute scam. I don't want HP Smart to tell me what I want and only give me (extremely) limited options. This is not an example of a good technology advancement.

True:  The HP Instant Ink - Enrolling in HP Instant Ink how-to instructions say to install the HP Smart application.

That does not make the application dumb though I do see that you do not want to install the HP Smart application to enroll in Instant Ink.

What else?

Not sure.  I do have the HP Smart (Windows and Mobile) applications installed but I do NOT have an Instant Ink subscription.

If I were I you, I would check at the Instant Ink Website.

If you do not see what you need / want, Contact HP Instant Ink Support and ask for help.

I have the app installed. That's where I started to enroll in instant ink. From the app I was taken to a web browser where it made me sign in to ensure I was capable of enrolling in instant ink, then to a page where it told me to download the app. And yet I started in the app... The app is most definitely installed on my computer but it takes me to a web browser only, even after I sign in, and it never gives me the option to join instant ink or start a plan.

OK - sounds tangled.

I've never gone through the process - I do not have an Instant Ink subscription / contract.

I am stuck with the answer I gave you.  Smiling.

If you cannot contact Instant Ink Support,

the best I can do is to send your request for Review by the moderators.

I will do that.

Request for Review

  • I have submitted a request that our Community moderators review your question / concern.

Worth Noting

  • Our Community is not an HP business group.
  • We are not HP Technical Support, nor are we HP Sales, Service, or Warranty.
  • Our request for assistance on your behalf does not influence the outcome:  Our request is not a magic back door into HP Support.
  • The time frame (how long it takes) for a response is not controlled by the Community.
  • If / When there is a response, a Community moderator / agent will (should) post back on this thread before using other methods to contact you.

Important

  • Do not contact random numbers posted in a public or private message by “new members”.  Vermin are looking for victims – don’t be next.
  • Please do not post any personal or case information here - we cannot make use of the data.
  • Posting personal information at a public site increases your risk from rats and scammers.
