My HP Mini will only power on if plugged into an outlet. Battery will not hold a charge.
When powered on, My HP mini Windows 7 Starter will only show a black screen with a white solid cursor on the top left corner. I can not get past that screen.

Hi there @Mwine,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!  It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel.  I understand that your HP mini is not powering on unless plugged in.  I am happy to help with this.

Please post the full product number of your mini. See the following, if you need help with that information.  HP Desktop PCs - How Do I Find My Model Number, Serial Number or Product Number?

Once I have the proper model, I can better assist you. Please let me know when you can.
