df1010v1 Picture frame

Not having the instructions available, I put a folder of photos directly onto the df1010 picture frame and deleted the PHOTOS folder, which I assume had the operating system or something vital on it. Now nothing works.

The HP website has no available software or drivers listed, so I can't reload the deleted software.

Can you help me get this thing going again?

Thanks

Jay E

@drerle

Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

Riddle_Decipher is at your service.

As I understand you are unable to view pictures after you accidentally removed a software,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

Did you attempt to reseat the memory card to check if it works?

Have you attempted to reset the device?

While you respond to that, here's what you need to do, to reset the device (make sure to remove the external storage before initiating this service) :-

If you have changed function settings, using this feature will restore all settings to the factory pre-set defaults.

1. On the HOME screen, press to display the Setup Menu.

2. Select Reset to Factory Defaults, and then select Yes to reset, or No to leave current settings.

3. Press to return to the HOME screen.

(By the end of this article all the issues should be resolved)

Do get back to me as I have a few more tricks up my sleeve,

That said, If I have helped you resolve the issue,

feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon

followed by clicking on 'Accepted as Solution'

And Have a great day Ahead!

Turns out that the picture frame just took a very long time to process the pictures I loaded in the folder.

I had to unplug the picture frame from the computer too.

Eventually all the photos appeared on the picture frame.

In the end, the fastest way to put pictures on this device is to put a folder of photos into its disc image on my desktop.
