Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Whenever my laptop is off it charges decently. Sometimes there is trouble but usually when it is off it charges alright. When it's on though it doesn't charge unless I get it into a random position that seems to work. The problems started after the last battery I had started swelling for some reason. We got a new battery to replace the old one but ever since then it has had the charging issue. I have tried stuff like a static discharge because I don't know what could and couldn't cause this stuff and just did whatever I knew I could do, but nothing has worked.
