I just bought this laptop from the HP store on Amazon, and when I registered it, it said it only had 7 months left on the warranty, that the warranty started May 27, 2022 though I only ordered it Nov 25, 2022. My HP Dev One Linux laptop has a similar problem, though when I contacted the HP Dev One team they said that support was through them and the HP warranty was irrelevant. That's not the case here, so what do I do?

I think I already tried that and the link to dispute the warranty wasn't there for me.
I'll check when HP support is up again. 😞
SORRY...
HP Customer Support site is temporarily unavailable
In the meantime I have contacted @HP on Twitter and they've been asking me for contact info and a copy of the invoice...

Yes, I already did that, and the "dispute this" link does not come up. The support page you linked says:
note:If the dispute link does not display, the product might be a commercial product, which cannot be disputed online.
What does this mean? It's a gaming PC. If that's a "commercial product" then there's no such thing as a computer that isn't a "commercial product". Geese.
