It SUCKS!

I finally got sick of HP printers with paper jams and failures to print the back side of one page in a 40 page document. I've gone through three high end HP printers since December 2007, plus untold hours on the phone with some Indian who says his name is "Patrick" and a last name with 39 letters. Among the suggestions that these wizards suggested were:  "Use HP paper." (I was using HP paper), "Is it plugged into a power strip?" (It was) "Plug it into a wall outlet." We must have reset the last one ten times between March 11 and the second week of May.  HP bought that one back.

I have bought a full featured color laser printer from another manufacturer. Today it printed 40 copies of the catalog without one paper jam or replacing an ink cartridge.

I was telling someone about my problems with HP products and she sent me this reply.
"I bought my THIRD HP at the end of September and this one has never worked well.  All I wanted was a printer--no copier, fax, scan, or such all of which Jim has--so that's what I got.  Unfortunately, the information about it did not contain the fact that the print wheel had to be changed on a regular basis. So my inexpensive printer has become as expensive as Jim's.  They finally recalled the one I purchased and sent a new one--but failed to send the tray that catches the paper as it comes out.  We're still working to get me a printer that works.  This situation has turned me off HP forever.  We at least have not had to deal with a foreigner who thinks he/she can speak English.  Come to think of it, we've had a problem talking to anyone at HP!"
It's time you wizards got back to basics, which is making and selling products that work!!!
