Serial number not working

I see the barcode that says serial number, I type it in the box asking for a serial number. Does not exist. I try all the possible variations incase HP's font is just that bad at being distinguishable. It does not exist. I'm not looking for community support, I have no idea how to contact a real person without a serial number, and the chat bot doesn't take that it wont work. @hosupport, please contact me, this is insane.

Find the serial number of your HP monitor with the on-screen menu display, or on the outside of the monitor.

• If your monitor is working, use the menu buttons on the monitor to open the on-screen menu, and then select Information. The serial number displays in the information window.

• If your monitor is not working or the on-screen menu does not display the serial number, look on the back of the monitor, the underside of the pedestal, or under a cosmetic cover for a label with a Serial Number, Serial No, S/N, or SN.

I have found it several times, like I said. I tried every possible substitution for if I was misreading a 2 or 0 or 8 or something, and nothing worked. I would like to register my device so there are no issues with the warranty in the future, but I cannot do that without a serial number, nor can I contact HP directly without a serial number.

I discovered that the only lace the serial number of my HP printer appeared was on the label of the box it was packed in.  If you have that, compare the serial number with the one on your product.  It may be different.
