Product: OIfficeJet X576

I recently posted and then resolved a problem with upgrading the firmware with an OfficeJet Pro X576 with a very early version of firmware. The solution was: calling HP, then receiving an email with a link, user name and password to download earlier firmware versions. Since posting that the link fixed my issue, I've been asked if i could share the link and password. Is that allowed? I would like to help and save someone a phone call but dont want to break forum guidelines.

I dont know what the HP rep told you about sharing the link, so I cannot say.

But I dont think it would harm anything if you downloaded the file for someone else to use.

Just dont post the info on any public venue.
