Some organized scammers are piggy-backing

some organized scammers are piggy-backing off HP support. 800-474-6836
((Ordered HP Deskjet 3632; received new, but defective, by seller through Amazon. Called for verification and concurrence (HP Tech via Amazon) of problem: product is on it's way back to seller. (I'll buy directly from HP next time.))
Later, this guy called and said he was an HP tech representative telling me he called to help me with my printer (he even knew the nomenclature on the printer). I thought it was odd. I never answered his 3 calls..VM...but from the connection, it sounded like a cell with bad service. I've since blocked the number.
This sort of problem needs attention on a national level. HP isn't the only ones they're piggybacking off of.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
