A topic entitled "How To Send A Private Message" was posted by Sharit_S on 08-26-2011 08:05 AM (last edited on 06-19-2019 11:41 AM by ??) on the HP Community / Welcome to the Community / First Time Here forum.
I tried following the instructions but I was unable to send a private message. When I click on the screen name of the user, the user's profile appears, but there is no "Send A Message" button adjacent to the "Friend" and "Ignore" buttons as shown / illustrated in the post.
So, HOW do I send a private message???
Thanks

Hey guys 🙂 @FrankNS @Paul_Tikkanen
Yes, as Paul pointed this recomendations is rather old and should be removed from the community in my opnion, and for that I thank you for sharing it 😉
Now for the question itself, as a Protection Policty, HP has disabled the PM feature for new users, unless they need to, via our support agents or experts.
As for @Paul_Tikkanen , yes, personally he asked us to disable that option for him 😅
Hope that can help to the matter !
Kind regards,
Marcus

Hi:
Users have the option to turn off their private message function.
If you do not see an option as set forth in the instructions, the person has that feature turned off.
My assumption is that since Sharit_S has retired from the organization, and his last activity on the forum was 5 years ago, he is no longer an active participant here.
About Sharit_S - HP Support Community
I have my PM feature turned off as well.
