I have a HP 15 f233wm, bought it due to a discounted price, but I wanted to see what upgrade I would be able to apply. Could be anything, from replacing optics drive with a SSD up to upgrading the processor. Any upgrades to the laptop will help, thanks.

Hello Jozey,

That CPU cannot be upgraded. BGA sockets are permanently attached to the motherboard. You would have to replace the whole Mobo which will not be possible or cost effective.

The specs for those low end models are very vague because HP does not intend for you to change parts around in it.

To check the RAM specs, you can always use the HP Support assistant. Here is the instructions for that...

The only upgrade worth doing would be to remove the HDD and use a SATA SSD. That will give you the best boost over any CPU upgrade.

Let me know if I can help with anything else.
