So why doesn't my HP Support Login and Password that I created work on the HP support site? How am I to keep these accounts straight in my password manager when it thinks that they both belong to the same site?!
Also, the password reset tool was completely worthless, fire the web designer who created it. EVERY password reset form should include the following information to prevent errors, especially with password managers.
1. Minimum Password length
2. Maximum Password Length (there shouldn't be any maximum password length in today's cyber warfare environment sorry 32 characters is NOT secure.
3. Banned characters, shouldn't ban any characters and why can't certain characters be used? It's a password form, not a script so there shouldn't be any characters that would cause issues. Again if the web designer who created the site had any ideas about cybersecurity they would know all of these things and the character thin is ridiculous coming from a tech company!
I have been very disappointed with the whole HP support and Forums experience so far. It has been a pain in my ASS and has been a complete cluster **bleep**.
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
