My estimated ship date was August 6th, almost a week after when I placed my order, but hey, Covid-19 is still around and the workers gotta stay safe right? So I thought it was pretty reasonable.

As you may have expected, August 6th rolls along with no update, but again, I'll chalk it up to the state of the world. Fast forward to 1 week later on August 12th, the expected delivery date, and I still have no updated. It was then that I contacted support (via email and live chat) and asked where the heck my order was.

FINALLY on August 15th, I finally get a tracking number!

I thought this was it.

It's coming soon. Only a few more days.

To my dismay,  the tracking status has been stuck on "Shipping Information Sent To FedEx" for a next few days. Being the patient man that I am, I decide to give them another week. Maybe FedEx only picks up from HP on the weekends?

Well now it's August 24th and I'm officially an unhappy camper. It's delays and lack of updates over and over again and I am disappointed by HP. I frequently buy things online and I have never has such a negative experience till now, especially for things that cost a few hundred dollars.

Reading through the past threads on the HP support forum it seems many others have also had this same issue with their orders taking forever. If any of you have also experienced what I am going through as well, please chime in and let me know if you were able to get your order or if you're still stuck in limbo.

@CK_NB I understand your concern and I will bring your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP.

Although, I'll need some private information from you in order to create a case for you.

Please look for a private message requesting additional information.

Keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers, case details, etc...).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

If the information I've provided was helpful, give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Accept as solution" on my public post, that'll help us and others see that we've got the answers!

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

That's no longer needed.

After reaching out to HP support yesterday (and after a 2 hour hold time) my order has finally been given to FedEx and it's finally on the move.

Well folks, as of today, I have finally received my laptop.

In total, I had:

2 weeks without a tracking number

1.5 weeks with a tracking number that just said "Shipping Info sent to FedEx"

2 days of FedEx shipping
