[Note: I received this message as a PM and advised the member that they should contact HP and provided the contact information, but I felt it should be escalated as well]

Dear Moderator,
I have a Compaq/Presario V6000 (s/n CNF70137KB) (p/n RD181AV) and I missed the date to file and become a member of lawsuit/NVDIA. SunshineF, here is the situation. #1. I will probably NEVER AGAIN buy anything with HP on it. Absolutely never on the NVDIA brand name. This is not good for HP. While a teacher in New Orleans, I bought 15 laptops for my gifted students, then, when I had some input into the computer lab, 100 pcs and printers etc,.. At my home, I have only used HP. I bought my last two notebooks from HP ahd the one that is the problem now cost me close to $2500 with the printer, stuff for the mobile use, and THE WARRANTY ON EVERYTHING. So, HP has a lot to lose with loosing me.
Plain and simple, I WANT THE COMPUTER FIXED AT HP'S EXPENSE. I took a look at the settlement and I know that there are way more folks out there--like me, missed the deadlines AND SHAME ON H/P FOR NOT TELLING ME WAY BACK THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM, who would love to pursue the resolution of the problems that they are experincing with their NVIDIA/HP stuff. The work has already been done in the first lawsuit, I don't want to litigate but unless HP deals with fixing my laptop I am gonna go that route.

Thanks SunshineF!!!

Just as an update/FYI, this member posted the following:
HP FAILED TO SEND ME ANY INFO REGARDING NVIDIA CARD PROBLEM
Peer to Peer, all of the HP stuff that I paid close to $3000 for is going to the trash as soon as I can get the money to get ANYTHING else. HP lost a good one.
I took a shot and googled HP SUCKS and sure enough I hit on an identical problem that I am facing with the failure of the NVIDIA card. Now, moderator before you go and tell me that this site is for peers, and user to user stuff and the laptop problem is not supposed to be on this site, I TOTALLY AGREE WITH THAT. This is not about the NVIDIA failure, it is about THE FAILURE OF HP to inform ME--who they obviously want to avoid as they never contacted me--that there was a potential CATASTROPHIC FAILURE AWAITING ME. And then the rep has the audacity to tell me that I should have checked their site on a routine basis to see if anything that I had with HP's name on it had a problem. SERIOUSLY.
My system, I don't think of it as just loosing a laptop, I bought--FROM HP, the laptop, all of the stuff to run it in my truck, a portable printer, all of the stuff to run it in the truck, an all in one copier and printer, and a nice little camera.
HP can not tell me when they sent me an email advising me of a CATASTROPHE awaiting me with the NVIDIA card, nor can they send me a copy of such an email.
It is really funny though that they can reach me when it is to HP's benefit.
The HP customer support people had the gaul to tell me that if I did not get the email it was still my responsibility to CHECK THE HP SITE for info regarding problems with products. THAT IS ABSURD. WHAT I GOTTA GO AROUND MY HOUSE, GET THE MODEL NUMBERS ON EVERYTHING AND GO TO THE MNF SITES TO CHECK WHETHER-OR-NOT STUFF IS GOING TO BLOW UP OR NOT. I DO NOT THINK SO.
