False readings on HP color printer that color cartridges need replacing
04-07-2015 11:19 AM
TOTAL RIPOFF SCAM: The last time I replaced all three color cartridges was February 2014, and it cost me $470.61 to replace the three. I made sure not to print anything in color on my 3600n printer, so I would not have to replace all four cartridges when the black ran out. I just got a message to replace my black cartridge, and there was no warning. So I replaced my black cartridge for $176.54 (including tax), and now I am getting a message for Magenta needing replaced, and all the other color cartridges are now showing low levels. This is not valid and I feel taken advantage of by Hewlett Packard by it somehow not really showing the color levels of the colored ink. To replace all four cartridges every year is costing $647.15. So I feel totally screwed over by this. If it is a wrong setting or something on my printer, then tell me what to do. I'm thinking of ordering a plain black ink printer, since most of what I print are legal documents. Maybe the printer has a date calculator in it that makes the ink cartridges show a false empty after a year. I am totally irritated by this and it has made me doubt the Hewlett Packard brand. However, I want to be fair, if someone knows why I am having this problem, or if this is typical and is something that makes a Hewlett Packard printer a luxury device for ultra rich people.
