Yes, I paid for a license for MSFT 2010 Home and Student Office when I bought the notebook.  The notebook was received with the Outlook program loaded, but no Product Key in the shipment to unlock the Office program.

HP maintains that unlock Product Key are always in the shipment of systems that have software loads.  I admit that has been my experience until this purchase.  In this shipment, there was no Product key sheet to be found.

People pack those shipments and people make mistakes.  I have received purchases before where a minor item has been missing (like a stylus for a tablet, or things like that).  People make mistakes, that 's all I am saying.

But getting a replacement key from HP is tough.  I have called HP 7 times.  A Case Manager has been assigned.  But we are 15 + days into this and no projection of when HP will send a new Product Key to me.

Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for Hewlett-Packard.
