This is regarding the awful customer service for Pavillion Desktops. I called on 28th January 2012. The name of the representative was Manish Kumar and in his supervisory role, he seemed to forget that courtesy is just not a prerogative of the lower hierarchy. I am an HP Pavillion A6740IN end user and my warranty period should end some where in February. I paid on 16th February 2009 and was delivered the system towards the later half of the month.
I called customer service for the purpose of creating a recovery disc. I had problems in creating a recovery disc previously as well and whenever I has shared this problem with the customer service, they had welcomed my concern and even had an engineer visit my place for the same purpose.
However, when I called up yesterday, it was first picked up by a female representative and then the call was transferred to the floor supervisor Manish Kumar, as the female representative was unable to provide adequate information. But Manish was so discourteous that not only there were too many verbal collisions but in fact he presented a stone walled attitude where I could not see any hope for assistance. At first he said that my warranty term has ended. Later he said that this concern does not fall in the purview of their customer service. I tried giving him previous reference IDs but he only depreciated my efforts to let him see what technical aspects have been dealt with previously, which I strongly believe are linked with the present problem.
It was quite apparent that Manish was blatantly looking for undue reasons to end the call. It was very frustrating to speak with him. You can verify my complaint by listening to the call, if at all you have records of the same.
I remember I had an interaction with him previously as well, equally dissatisfactory, but I chose to ignore, giving it the benefit of perchance. But this time I felt it was a mistake and I want to follow-up with highest of the authorities about this matter.

If I have landed the right department, and if you care to know more please do get back to me.
Thanks,

Anirudh

Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for Hewlett-Packard.
