Escalated per Harvesting team request:
Sadly HP does not stand by the quality of their product. I purchased an HP Photosmart Plus e-All-In-One (model #CN216A) in Oct 2011. One year later in Oct 2012, it stopped printing with black ink (color ink worked fine). After over a week of repeated troubleshooting with HP’s website instructions, I called HP and had to replace the printhead – 12 days out of warranty – but it was cheaper than buying a new printer. Another year later in Nov 2013, it stopped printing with black ink again (color ink worked fine). Again, a few days of repeated troubleshooting produced no results and I called HP and was told I needed a new printhead (or new printer) – 27 days out of warranty. I tried the Technical Support call center and the website -- the only thing they would say was that it was "out of warranty" and would not address the fact that 2 printheads lasted less than 13 months (12-month warranty). I have yet to find contact information for HP in the US (telephone and web support are both out of the country).
