HP DesignJet Z9+ 24-in PostScript Printer

I have a HP DesignJet Z9+ 24 inch printer which I purchased in China (where I live). It shipped with HP 746 ( P2V82A) ink cartridges. I recently bought a couple new cartridges from local vendors. They are labeled HP 746B (3WX35A). The device says that the cartridges are for another region.

Are the 746B cartridges incompatible with my printer or was I sold grey market cartridges from another region? Is there a way to check what region my cartridges are from? Or is there a way to bypass this error? Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you.

Thank you JunHu. Unfortunately, after updating the firmware again, the printer still doesn't work.

you can check the ink volume  to confirm whether your printer can use 746B ,if not your printer is not support 746BlADPJx8Z1EYROiXNBFDNAzw_828_1104.jpg

Thanks JunHu. I see what you mean. The ink volume report indicates compatible cartridge is 746.

Is there a way to upgrade the printer to accept 746B cartridges?

After contacting HP Hong Kong, they told me the serial number matched a US region printer. Is this possible? That might explain why the 746B cartridge is not compatible. The first time I contacted them they told me they couldn't help because it was a China region printer. Is there any way to know for sure?

Thank you.
