Alternating Bands on HP Designjet T830

HP Recommended
Designjet T830
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

We are experiencing alternating bands of color (actual color then to lighter/faded color - repeated) on a color graphic (slope map) we made in AutoCAD. We have tried printing directly from AutoCAD and also to a PDF then printed from Acrobat.

I have tried the GL2 driver as well as the PCL driver and updated firmware on the plotter.

We also have an older 1050C and the same issue happens there.

Here is a screen shot of what is happening to the color.

Here are the specifics.
Windows 7 x64
Printing from AutoCAD 2015 with GL2 driver.
Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro.

Firmware: 1810A

We would prefer a front end fix for this. (Hopefully HP has a solution)

We have not tried implementing the Adobe suite of products (Illus/PS) as a workaround.
