Bought double HP 61 and one cartridge works and the other doesn't

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I recently (two weeks ago) bought a double pack of HP 61 printer cartridge. One of the cartridges worked and the other one does not. The one that doesnt, a screen pops up and says that it detects an unknown fake cartridge and will not load. They were bought together and the cartridge even says HP 61, the box and all.

 

What can I do? These are not cheap.

Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?

When was the last time it worked without these issues?

Enter Product number or select to auto detect.Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options".

 

Scroll down and click on HP contact options - click on Get a Case & phone number.They will be happy to assist you immediately.

 

If the unit is under warranty repair services under the manufacturer's warranty will be free of charge.
