Power off the plotter, likely you will need to pull the cord to do this, and then try to manually move the carriage. The cutter assembly is on the left hand side and that might have something to do with it. There is a swing out door on the left side, you need to remove one screw to open it. This is the access door for the cutter.

If the carriage just goes to one side, I suggest you check the encoder strip to make sure it is not damaged. This is the clear mylar strip that runs the length of the paper path and has a grid printed on it that the carriage sensor uses to keep track of where the carriage is.

So it will go left and right but at some point when it goes to the left it gets stuck and carrier jam error occurs. However, I check rails and that side and nothing there. Ill post a video
