I have pulled in to help a customer since I have SOME experience with color management systems.
The customer is using a Z6 DesignJet and printing through the Creative Suite on Macs w/High Sierra.
Branding is important to them and they have found thier new Z6 prints colors slightly differently that thier previous machine (suprise suprise).
Thankfully, the color itself seems acceptably accurate but the Z6 pushes out a more dense end result that thier previous machine.
If there was a way (either through the print driver or on the machine itslef) to adjust the overally density down a few notches I think I can give the customer the output they want without implementing more advanced solutions (explaining rendering intents, installing a RIP).
So, the basic question is: Can I simply adjust the overall density of the Z6 either on the machine itself or through a default in the driver?
Appeciate any ideas/assistance!!
Thanks!
