Help Help

My 510 prints all white areas (ie no ink required) as a light pink colour. and if set to BW its a light grey colour.

I think its over the whole print area.

Even the Print Printer info from set up has this BUT not in the colour calibration options or the head alignment tasks

Under a scope I see that all the colours are firing but at a very very low level.

I have tried with Firmware V4.02 and latest 5  Replaced the main board and the ink carriage unit.

Tried it on Vista, Win 10 with latest and older drivers in HPGL2 and without the card in PCL3 using a 500 driver .

Completely at a loss even though I have a lot of experience with these type of printers going back to DJ750.

Its like there is a residual voltage across all the heads making them fire a little. but its no different with a new carriage.

Help please

Hello @Czeslaw .

I have some questions:

How old are the printheads?

Is this happening with any type of paper?

Do you have any sample of this issue that you can attach ?

Thank you.
