HP Recommended

Inherited a functioning HP DJ800 - prints self test page great!

But .. Prints garbage from PC (via USB).

 

Win XP Professional Computer sees HP DJ800 fine (via USB)

 

Tried to update Firmware from A.02.05 to A.04.02.

Get the image of the printer and the moving 1's and 0's on the LCD, but it terminates with:

     “System upgrade

        File Received 

         Incorrectly

   Firmware Not Updated

       Restart Printer”

.. and no error code.

 

So clearly, I have a coms issue between the computer and the HPDJ800.

 

Any suggestions?
