Product: HP Latex 280 104-in Printer (HP Designjet L28500 104-in Printer)

Probably related to most any DesignJets as they are very similar. My carriage seems to be a tad low. Printing is very good. But when I use the media edge holders for the l28500 

 

Special plates to hold down soft materials the carriage crashes into them. Ever so slightly till they come loose. 

Is something worn out? What can I replace?
