HP DesignJet 500 24-in Roll Printer

Hi, I have recently bought a new Windows 11 PC, a massive difference from the old clockwork Windows 7 PC I was using!  However, I cannot find a driver for the Designjet 500 printer I have.  Is there a compatible one available or can anyone help please?  I am an Architectural Technologist and have a backlog of A1 size drawings to print.

I would suggest that you try the HP Smart UPD driver. As it supports PCL3 it should be able to work with the 500. https://support.hp.com/ca-en/help/smartupd

Yes you may still able to use the HP Designjet 500 with Windows 11 by updating to a newer driver and an accessory card to the plotter.

There's a shop that sells it.

hope it helps.
