I print only using the rolled paper for 18X24 or 24x3 sheets.  Every third or so plot, the printer says that I need to add paper to the back tray, then I have to cancel that plot, yes to cancel again, then it continues on with the next stored (roll) plot.  I never use that back tray, nor does my Win10 computer print settings have those paper sizes chosen.  How can I tell the printer Not to use the tray unless I specifically choose it?  I did do a hard reset on the printer, but problem still exists.

Probably a dirty sensor, clean it with wet damped cloth of use compressed air to clean it. On the picture in the blue circle, there is the small hole and sensor inside you need to clean, try it.
