Designjet T1120 -- 'Printer Failure There is a problem with the printer or ink system. '

Designjet T1120
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Had the blue screen of death on our Designjet T1120.

Installed the CQ891-67019 Main PCA Board.

Was able to power up.

 

As the printer initialized, now have an error on the main display stating:

 

Printer Failure  There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn printer off, then on. If problem persists, then contact HP.

 

There are a number of troubleshooting items online and we have tried the following:

 

Connected printer via USB upgrading firmware

Cleaned out printer cartridges

Removed and reset the print head

Cleaned the contacts on the back of the print head

Removed the ink and followed the instructions on the display to reinstall the ink

 

Error continues.

Please advise what more can be done to resolve this issue.

Hi, Thanks for contact with HP Support forum. 

 

Please share the picture of the printer display status..... There have some error code which required to guide you. ...

 

 Are you replace new Main PCA board or used one? If possible share your faulty unit picture.

Replacement Main PCA Board was new in sealed bag.

As your mention picture wise you need to replace new printhead.... Just remove the all printheads (offline in manually) and check what happened. If printer will comes on ready mode, please replace printhead.....but that type will raise from printheads if internal haven't any damage or disconnected any cable or cut....

As your mention printer model is wrong, it's a HP DesignJet T120 not T1120???
